1.  What is FTP download?
With FTP download you can burn your own original quality VCD or DVD at home.

FTP download VCD movies in highest quality .MPG format.
FTP download DVD movies in highest quality .VOB format.

We offer all our movies for download.  
Download in 1 step.   You can stop/resume the download at your convenience.



2.  What is the file format?
For VCD:
   We offer the original MPEG-1  .MPG/.DAT file that you would find on our VCD discs.
   ( .MPG and .DAT are the same file type.   You can rename the file to the one you desire )

For DVD:
   All necessary files are included for making your own DVD.  
   We offer the original .VOB file that you would find on our DVD discs.

 

3.  How is this different from membership streaming/download movies?
Membership streaming/download movie is Windows Media compressed .WMV   (~200 MB)

FTP Download VCD movie is full size .MPG  (~600 MB)
FTP Download DVD movie is full size .VOB  (~1200 MB)



4.  How do I order?
Simply check-out normally, but enter the words  "FTP"  in the notes/instructions box

Then, within minutes (during business hours) 
  1)  You will be refunded 50% shipping costs
  2)  You will be sent FTP login information via e-mail   




5.  How do I download?
Use a free FTP program called WS_FTP     Download here    Tutorial here

Run your FTP program, enter your login, and start downloading!

 

6.  What is the file size?
VCD is ~650 Megabytes.
DVD is ~4500 Megabytes.

We can RAR the file into smaller portions at your request. Just enter the words "RAR" at check-out.

 

7.  What if I get disconnected?
You may resume downloads with your FTP program if you get disconnected. 
Our FTP server is up 24/7 for your convenience.

 

8.  How fast is your connection?
We have a dedicated 1544kbps T1 connection and dedicated FTP server.

U.S. average speed =  ~700kilobits/sec   or   ~2 hours per movie
International average speed =  ~280kilobits/sec   or   ~5 hours per movie

9.  How do I download faster?
